Dorothy Wagstaff was an illustrator and a good friend of Margaret Wise Brown's. Margaret called Dorothy "Dot" and Dot and most of Margaret's good friends called Margaret "Goldie".
Goldie was Dot's maid of honor at her wedding and Margaret was Godmother to one of Dot's children.
Dot illustrated MWB's book "Horses" . They both used "pen" names for the publication of Horses, MWB used "Timothy Hay " and Dot used "Wag".
