The Little Fur Family:Real Fur cover edition

illustrated by Garth Williams.

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1946.

This is one of my favorite books by MWB. It was originally printed with the cover in real rabbit fur. Today copies of the original are very rare. This little book is charming and the illustrations by Garth Williams bring into the little world of the little fur child.

The Little Island

Written as Golden MacDonald.

Illustrated by Leonard Weisgard. Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Co.,
1946.

I bought this copy of Little Island 5 years ago over the internet. The listing stated that it was "signed", with no other description. It was $30 and I thought I would take my chances . It turned out to be signed by both Margaret as "Golden Mac Donald" and Leonard Weisgard. Very cool
